Nosikind-P Nasal Spray (Xylometazoline / Benzalkonium Chloride )

INTRODUCTION

NOSIKIND P contains Xylometazoline which belongs to the group of Nasal decongestants. It narrows the vessels located in the nose and decongests the mucous membranes. It is used to treat nasal congestion, perennial and allergic rhinitis and sinusitis. It helps to clear the nasal passages by reducing the excessive nasal secretions and returning the swollen blood vessels to their normal size.

Always use NOSIKIND P exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is for external use only. It is strictly not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Before using this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine. The most common side effects are stinging or burning in the nose and throat, dry nasal mucosa, headache, nausea.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Nausea:

Keep try taking this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack and stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy food.

Headache:

Apply hot or cold-water bag on your head. Take rest in a quiet and dark room. Drink tea or coffee.

BREASTFEEDING
NOSIKIND P should be used with caution in breast feeding women. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
Do not drive or operate any machinery while taking this medicine as it may make you feel drowsy or sleepy.

ALCOHOL
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking this medicine.

KIDNEY
NOSIKIND P should be taken with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor for advice.

ALLERGY
Do not use NOSIKIND P if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Xylometazoline or any other ingredients in this medicine.

LUNGS
NOSIKIND P should be taken with caution in patients with severe lungs disease. Consult your doctor for advice.

HEART DISEASE
NOSIKIND P should be taken with caution in patients with severe heart disease. Consult your doctor for advice.

OTHERS

Do not use NOSIKIND P if you have:

A benign tumor of the adrenal gland
Overactive thyroid
Narrow angle glaucoma or diabetes
