Ondem Injection 2ML (Ondansetron 2mg)

Ondem Injection 2 ml belongs to a group of medications called ‘ anti-emetics’ primarily used in the prevention of vomiting (being sick) and nausea (feeling sick) that usually occur after cancer chemotherapy, radiation treatment or surgery. Nausea is an uneasy feeling in which a person feels an urge to vomit while vomiting is the natural response to the body to forcefully discharge the stomach contents.

Ondem Injection 2 ml contains ‘Ondanestron’ that works by blocking the action of a chemical in the body (serotonin) responsible for causing nausea and vomiting. As a result, Ondem Injection 2 ml prevents the sensation of nausea and vomiting caused due to conditions like surgery, cancer chemotherapy, pregnancy or motion sickness.

Ondem Injection 2 ml can be taken with or without a meal with a full glass of water. Ondem Injection 2 ml is available in three forms, namely Orally disintegrating Tablets, tablets, and oral solution. The doctor will suggest the right way of taking medicine after checking the dosing form. A person taking Ondem Injection 2 ml often experience side effects that include a feeling of warmth, constipation, headache, diarrhoea, headache, drowsiness, feeling of tiredness. Although, not every person faces the side effects of Ondem Injection 2 ml, and even some of the unpleasant effects of Ondem Injection 2 ml do not require medical attention.

Ondem Injection 2 ml acts by inhibiting the release of this serotonin, thereby preventing nausea and vomiting.

Tablet: Ondem Injection 2 ml can be taken with or without a meal as suggested by the doctor. The first dosage of this medicine is generally ingested before the starting of chemotherapy, radiation treatment, or surgery. Oral disintegrating tablet: Keep Ondem Injection 2 ml beneath the tongue and allow it to dissolve in the mouth itself. Do not swallow this medicine. Injection: The nurse or doctor will inject Ondem Injection 2 ml, so do not self administer.

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight

A person taking Ondem Injection 2 ml may face some unpleasant effects include sensations of flushing, constipation, headache, confusion, dizziness, fast heartbeat, fever, headache, shortness of breath, and weakness.
