Description

Aziderm 20% Cream is used for the treatment of acne (a skin condition that occurs when your hair follicles get clogged with oil and dead skin cells). It works by killing the infection-causing bacteria and preventing further bacterial growth. It also keeps your skin pores clear by reducing oil secretions and regulating the production of keratin (protein) and thereby preventing acne formation.

Aziderm 20% Cream may cause burning sensation, itching, redness, and dryness at the site of application. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or worsen.

Aziderm 20% Cream should be applied topically to the affected part of your skin as directed by your doctor. Continue using the medicine for the prescribed duration to effectively treat your condition.

Aziderm 20% Cream should be avoided if you are allergic to it. This medicine is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding before using this medication.

When not to use?

Allergy

Warnings

Warnings for special population
Pregnancy
Due to a lack of safety and efficacy studies in pregnant women, the risk to your developing foetus due to Aziderm 20% Cream is not known. However, this medicine may be safe to use during pregnancy upon your doctor’s recommendation.
Breast-feeding
It is not known if Aziderm 20% Cream passes into breastmilk. However, this medicine may be safe to use during breastfeeding upon your doctor’s recommendation. If indicated for use, avoid applying this medicine to breast areas (nipple) that may come into contact with your infant.
General warnings
Other medicines
Aziderm 20% Cream may interact with other medicines meant for topical use. Concomitant use of this medicine and other medicines meant for topical use on the same area of your skin should therefore be avoided. Inform your doctor about the topical preparations (ointments/lotions/gels) that you may have been using to avoid undesired side effects.
Asthma
Asthma is a condition in which the air passages in your lungs become narrow due to swelling and tightening of the muscles around the small airways, resulting in breathing difficulties. Aziderm 20% Cream should be used with caution if you have asthma due to the increased risk of worsening your symptoms.
External use only
Aziderm 20% Cream is meant for external use only. Avoid contact with your eyes. In case of accidental contact with your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water. Seek immediate medical help in case of accidental ingestion.
Use in children
Aziderm 20% Cream is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age due to a lack of safety and efficacy data.
