INTRODUCTION

ZENEGRA 50 MG contains Sildenafil which belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It is used to treat adult men with erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence. It happens when a man cannot get, or keep a hard, erect penis suitable for sexual activity. Erectile dysfunction (ED) is inability of men to attain and maintain an erect penis with sufficient rigidity to allow sexual intercourse. This medicine works by helping to relax the blood vessels in penis, allowing blood to flow into penis when you get sexually excited.

Sildenafil acts by inhibiting PDE-5 and enhancing NO action in the penis. The mechanism of erection of the penis involves release of nitric oxide (NO) during sexual stimulation. NO then activates the enzyme guanylate cyclase, which results in increased levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), resulting in smooth muscle relaxation and inflow of blood to the penis.

Always take this ZENEGRA 50 MG exactly as directed by your doctor. It is not suitable for women or children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have severe heart or liver problems, if you have recently had a stroke or heart attack or if you have low blood pressure. Tell your doctor know if you suffer from these or any other health problems before taking it.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Feeling sick (nausea) or indigestion:

Stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy foods.

Headache:

Rest and drink plenty of fluids.

Dizziness:

Get up and move around to feel awake, take small naps to edge off the sleepiness. Give your eyes a break to avoid fatigue and eat a healthy food to boost energy.

WARNING & PRECAUTIONS

DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
ZENEGRA 50MG may cause dizziness or affect your vision. Do not drive or handle any machines while taking this medicine.

ALCOHOL
Drinking alcohol can impair your ability to get an erection. Do not drink excessive amounts of alcohol while taking this medicine.

KIDNEY
ZENEGRA 50 MG should be used with caution in patients suffering from active kidney diseases. Consult your doctor for advice.

LIVER
ZENEGRA 50 MG is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease. Consult your doctor for advice.

ALLERGY
Do not take if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Sildenafil or any other ingredients in this medicine.

HEART DISEASE
ZENEGRA 50MG is not recommended in patients with severe heart disease. Consult your doctor for advice.

OTHERS

Tell your doctor if you have or had a condition such as,

Low blood pressure
Sickle cell anaemia, leukaemia, multiple myeloma (cancer of bone marrow)
Inherited eye diseases (retinitis pigmentosa)
Loss of vision
Deformity of your penis or Peyronie’s disease
Stomach ulcer or bleeding problem (haemophilia)

INTERACTIONS

Tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription or the following:

Nitroglycerin
Amyl nitrite
Riociguat (used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension)
Protease inhibitors (used to treat HIV)
Alpha-blockers (terazosin hydrochloride)
