About Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s
aNeorelax MR Tablet 10’s is a combination medicine used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, muscle pain, bone and joint pain. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, causing uncomfortable sensations in the body. Muscle spasm is the sudden involuntary contractions of the muscle, which can be painful and uncomfortable. Arthritis is the tenderness and swelling in the joints.
Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s is a combination of three drugs, namely: Thiocolchicoside (muscle relaxant), Aceclofenac (NSAID), and Paracetamol (Analgesic). Thiocolchicoside works on the centres of the spinal cord and brain. This helps relieve muscle stiffness and improves muscle movements. Aceclofenac and Paracetamol work by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical prostaglandin (PG). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking COX enzymes’ effect, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Together, Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s helps in relieving pain due to muscle spasms.
Take Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s with or without food. Swallow Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew, or break the tablet. You are advised to take Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, heartburn, and diarrhoea. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.
NeorelaxMR Tablet 10’s can increase your risk of fatal heart attack or stroke. So, if you have had any recent heart surgery, do not use Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s. Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s increases the chances of stomach ulcers and bleeding. Do not take Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed. Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s causes drowsiness and dizziness, so drive with caution. NeorelaxMR Tablet 10’s should not be given to children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s as it could lead to increased drowsiness and dizziness; it might also increase the risk of stomach bleeding. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side-effects.

Drug Warnings
Do not take Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s if you are allergic to any of its contents; if you have/had severe heart problems, stomach ulcer or perforation, and bleeding problems such as bleeding from the stomach, intestine or brain, bypass surgery, heart attack, blood circulation problems, or inflammation of intestines. NeorelaxMR Tablet 10’s can increase your risk of fatal heart attack or stroke. So, if you have had any recent heart surgery, do not take NeorelaxMR Tablet 10’s. Inform your doctor before taking Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s if you have high blood pressure, heart problems, high cholesterol, diabetes, asthma, inflammatory bowel disease, liver and kidney problems. Do not take Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed. Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s may cause drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s is not recommended for children as the safety and effectiveness have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol and Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s as it could lead to increased drowsiness and increase the risk of stomach bleeding. Stop taking Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s and consult your doctor immediately if you have stomach pain or any signs of bleeding in intestine or stomach such as blood in stools. Do not take any other NSAID’s for pain relief along with Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s unless prescribed.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Neorelax MR Tablet 10’s may have interaction with pain killers (aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, celecoxib, etoricoxib), anti-depressants (citalopram, escitalopram, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, paroxetine, sertraline, lithium), cardiac glycoside (digoxin), anti-hypertensives (enalapril, lisinopril, losartan, candesartan, hydralazine, methyldopa, clonidine, moxonidine, propranolol), antibiotics (ciprofloxacin, ofloxacin, levofloxacin moxifloxacin), diuretics (furosemide, amiloride hydrochloride), blood thinners (warfarin, heparin, clopidogrel), anti-rheumatoid (methotrexate), steroids (mifepristone), glucocorticoids (hydrocortisone, prednisolone), immunosuppressants (ciclosporin, tacrolimus), anti-HIV (zidovudine), anti-diabetic (glibenclamide, gliclazide, tolbutamide).
Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid alcohol consumption while taking NeorelaxMR Tablet 10’s as it might cause increased dizziness and risk of stomach bleeding.
