Description

CIFRAN OZ TABLET is a combination medicine used for the treatment of a diarrhea of mixed infection in adults patients only. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 18 years of age.

Uses of CIFRAN OZ TABLET

What is it prescribed for?
Diarrhea of mixed infection
This medicine is used for the treatment of diarrhea of mixed infection in adults patients only. These infections may be caused by protozoa (parasites) along with anaerobic or aerobic gram-negative bacteria.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to ciprofloxacin, any other fluoroquinolones, ornidazole, any other nitroimidazoles, or any other inactive ingredients present along with these medicines.
Tendinitis or tendon rupture
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a history of tendon rupture or tendinitis (a condition in which the tissue connecting muscle to the bones becomes inflamed) since it may worsen the patient’s condition.
Myasthenia gravis
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history or family history of myasthenia gravis (weakness and rapid fatigue of muscles under voluntary control) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

General Instructions

Take this medicine as instructed by your doctor. Do not consume in larger or smaller amounts than advised/prescribed. Consult the doctor if you experience any undesirable side effects. Ensure that the treatment course is completed. Do not stop the use of this medicine without consulting your doctor.
