Tancet Cold Tablet is a combination medicine used in allergic rhinitis and nasal congestion. It contains Paracetamol, Cetirizine and Phenylephrine as active ingredients. You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to any of the components of this medicine, are having high blood pressure problems or have any liver disease. Please do not modify the dose or stop it before the prescribed duration, even if you feel better. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history including all the medicines you are currently taking.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if
You are suffering from a spasm of arteries characterized by vibration, pain and numbness of fingers.
You have any pre-existing medical condition such as kidney or liver problem.
You are taking any other medicines containing paracetamol or any other brain-related medicines.
You symptoms persists for more than 3 days even after taking this medicine.

Mode of Action of Tancet Cold New Tablet 10’S

How Does It Work?
Paracetamol inhibits prostaglandin synthesis, which is responsible for pain. It also acts on the thermoregulatory center in the brain and blocks the effect of pyrogen (which is responsible for fever).
Cetirizine inhibits the allergic symptoms produced by histamines (a certain chemical substance released by the body).
Phenylephrine acts by constricting the arterioles of the nasal mucosa and helps in nasal decongestion.

Directions for Use of Tancet Cold New Tablet 10’S

Take Tancet Cold tablet as directed by your doctor.
Swallow entirely with a glass of water, do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
It will be best if you took it at a fixed time for optimal results and should not consume it more than that prescribed by the doctor.

Interactions with other medicines
Certain medicines can interfere with the action of the Tancet Cold tablet or the tablet itself can affect the action of other medicines taken at the same time. Always inform your doctor about all the medicines that you are taking including all prescribed or non-prescribed herbal medicines, dietary supplements as well as if you are taking other treatments for any disorder. In particular, if you are taking medicines to stop vomiting, nausea such as metoclopramide, domperidone, anticoagulant like warfarin, medicines used to treat brain-related diseases such as alprazolam, antihypertensive medicines, muscle relaxants, antibiotics such as chloramphenicol etc. Medicines used to treat high cholesterol, such as Cholestyramine can reduce the absorption speed of Paracetamol.

Dosage of Tancet Cold New Tablet 10’S

Overdose
Symptoms of overdose include irritation, restlessness, palpitations, high blood pressure, nausea, vomiting, thirst feeling, fits etc. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.
Missed a Dose
If you missed the dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not take a double dose if you have missed the dose, take the next dose as soon as you remember.
