Description

Storvas EZ 10 Tablet is a combination of Atorvastatin and Ezetimibe. It is used to decrease the bad cholesterol (LDL) and fats (triglycerides) in your body. High cholesterol increases the risk of heart attack and stroke. This medicine blocks the formation of cholesterol in your body and prevents the absorption of cholesterol through the small intestine.

The common side effects of Storvas EZ 10 Tablet use are headache, nausea, vomiting, constipation and stomach pain. Consult your doctor if any side effects persist or worsen. Avoid taking this medicine if you are previously allergic to it.

Inform your doctor if you notice signs of liver problems such as stomach pains, unusually dark urine or yellowing of your skin or eyes. Notify your doctor if you experience muscle pain or weakness, particularly if it is accompanied by fever.

You can take Storvas EZ 10 Tablet with or without food. Even if you feel well, do not stop this medicine on your own. If you stop taking it, your condition may get worse and can be hard to treat. Try not to skip the Storvas EZ 10 Tablet dose and avoid an overdose of this medicine.

Hypercholesterolemia is a condition characterized by high levels of cholesterol in your blood. Storvas EZ 10 Tablet is used to treat this condition.
Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease
High cholesterol levels accumulate in your blood vessels (coronary artery) and narrows or block the blood vessels leading to an interrupted blood supply to your heart. Storvas EZ 10 Tablet is used to reduce the risk of heart attacks by lowering the levels of bad cholesterol and fats in your blood. It is also effective in reducing high blood pressure.
Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia
Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia is a genetic disorder characterized by high cholesterol levels. Storvas EZ 10 Tablet is used to lower the cholesterol levels in your body.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Storvas EZ 10 Tablet if you were previously allergic to it. Seek an immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulties, etc.
Active liver disease
Storvas EZ 10 Tablet is converted into its active form by liver. The presence of the liver disease may impair the conversion of this medicine into its active form thus leading to the accumulation of this medicine in your liver. This accumulation may worsen your liver condition. Hence, Storvas EZ 10 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have active liver diseases.

Pregnancy
Storvas EZ 10 Tablet is not recommended for use in pregnancy. Your doctor may prescribe a safer alternative based on your clinical condition.
Breast-feeding
Storvas EZ 10 Tablet is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding or to discontinue the drug based on your clinical condition.
General warnings
Cognitive impairment
Storvas EZ 10 Tablet may cause forgetfulness, memory loss, and confusion. These symptoms usually disappear gradually once the use of the medicine is discontinued.
Increase in blood sugar levels
Storvas EZ 10 Tablet may cause an increase in your blood sugar levels. It is recommended to closely monitor your blood sugar levels.
Alcohol consumption
Storvas EZ 10 Tablet may cause liver and kidney related problems if you consume alcohol very frequently in large quantities during treatment with this medicine.
Coumarin Anticoagulants
Storvas EZ 10 Tablet should be used with extreme caution while receiving coumarin anticoagulants such as warfarin due to the increased risk of excessive bleeding.
Use in Children
Storvas EZ 10 Tablet is not recommended for use in children less than 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Dosage

Missed Dose
If you forget to take a Storvas EZ 10 Tablet dose, make sure that you remember to take your next dose on time. Do not take two doses together to make up for a forgotten dose.
Overdose
Never take Storvas EZ 10 Tablet more than the prescribed dose. If you suspect that you might have taken an overdose of this medicine, go to the emergency department of your local hospital.
