Description

Sterio 16 MG Tablet is a corticosteroid medicine. It is used to treat various conditions such as arthritis, asthma, allergic conditions, certain types of cancer, skin, eye, thyroid, or intestinal problems, etc. Sterio 16 MG Tablet works by blocking the action of chemical substances that are responsible for pain and swelling and altering your body’s immune response.

Sterio 16 MG Tablet may cause some side effects like headache, vomiting, upset stomach, anxiety, sleeplessness, etc. Consult your doctor if they persist or become severe. Avoid activities that require high mental alertness like driving vehicles and operating machines as it may cause dizziness. This medicine can reduce your immune response and increase the risk of infection.

Sterio 16 MG Tablet should be taken with food to avoid stomach irritation. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the treatment depending on your condition. Avoid taking more or less than the prescribed dose. Take it regularly for the recommended duration for best results. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)

3. Iritis is inflammation (swelling) of the iris, the colored part of the eye.
4. Iridocyclitis is an inflammation of the iris (the colored part of the eye) and the ciliary body (muscles and tissue involved in focusing the eye).
5. Sympathetic ophthalmia is a rare eye condition that can develop after an eye injury or within days or weeks after eye surgery.
Lichen Planus

When not to use?

Allergy

Systemic infections

Live vaccines
Sterio 16 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you have received live vaccines as this medicine acts by suppressing immune activity. Thus the vaccine may not work well.

Driving or operating machines
Sterio 16 MG Tablet may cause dizziness in some cases. If you feel dizzy while taking this medicine, avoid driving vehicles or operating heavy machines.
Use in children
Avoid prolonged use of high doses of Sterio 16 MG Tablet in infants and children below 12 years as it may lead to increased fluid pressure inside the skull and on the brain tissue. It may also cause growth retardation (impaired growth and development) or pancreatitis (swelling of the organ in the lower part of the stomach called pancreas). Hence, your child’s doctor may limit the treatment to the lowest possible dose for the shortest period necessary.
Use in the elderly
Sterio 16 MG Tablet should be used with caution in the elderly due to the increased risk of side effects such as altered blood sugar levels, high blood pressure, low potassium levels in the blood, high blood pressure, weak and brittle bones, etc.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Try not to skip a scheduled dose of Sterio 16 MG Tablet. Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose of Sterio 16 MG Tablet. In case of an overdose, seek immediate medical attention for further guidance.
