Description

Rinosolvin (2.5/4 mg) Syrup is a combination medicine that contains Levocetirizine and Montelukast. It is a very effective and potent medication used in children to treat year-round allergic symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, itching, hives (itchy, painful eruptions that sting), etc. This is a widely used combination medicine in providing relief from blockage of the nose.

Rinosolvin (2.5/4 mg) Syrup may cause some side effects like drowsiness, fever, rash, weakness, etc. However, these effects subside when your child adapts to this medicine. Consult your paediatrician if these symptoms persist for a long time or bother your child. Avoid giving this medicine if your child is allergic to it.

Rinosolvin (2.5/4 mg) Syrup can be taken with or without food. Finish the entire course of treatment with Rinosolvin (2.5/4 mg) Syrup, even if your child’s condition gets better after giving a few doses. If your child vomits within 30 minutes after taking this medicine, give the same dose.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid using Rinosolvin (2.5/4 mg) Syrup if your child is allergic to it or any other formulation containing it. Seek immediate medical attention if there are major allergic reactions such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of your face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulties, etc.
Kidney Disease
Do not use Rinosolvin (2.5/4 mg) Syrup in children with severe kidney problems due to the increased risk of severe side effects.
Galactose intolerance
Avoid giving Rinosolvin (2.5/4 mg) Syrup, if your child has galactose intolerance (a condition where galactose, a type of sugar present in milk, cannot be converted to glucose) or glucose-galactose malabsorption.

Dosage

Missed Dose
If you missed giving a dose, give it as soon as you remember. If your child vomits within 30 minutes after taking Rinosolvin (2.5/4 mg) Syrup give the same dose again. Skip the missed dose if it is time for the next dose.
Overdose
Never give more than the prescribed dose to your child. Consult your doctor if you suspect that you might have given an overdose of Rinosolvin (2.5/4 mg) Syrup.

Interactions

General Instructions
Rinosolvin (2.5/4 mg) Syrup can be taken with or without food, as directed by your physician. Do not give more than the prescribed dose. Ensure that the course of treatment is completed. Do not stop the use of Rinosolvin (2.5/4 mg) Syrup without consulting your doctor.

Store Rinosolvin (2.5/4 mg) Syrup at room temperature protected away from heat. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not use it after the expiry date. Ensure that unused medicine is disposed of properly.

Rinosolvin (2.5/4 mg) Syrup is not to be mixed with any other cold and flu medicine. Follow the instructions given on the label.
