Description

Pirfenex 600 Tablet is a medicine used to treat idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (a chronic, progressive condition that causes thickening, stiffening, and scarring of tissue within the lungs). This medicine slows down the formation of scar tissue in the lungs.

Pirfenex 600 Tablet has some side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, heartburn, stomach pain, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms bother you for a long time or become severe. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to it.

Pirfenex 600 Tablet should be taken with food in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Take it every day at the same time for the ease of remembering and better results. Do not discontinue this medicine without consulting your doctor as it may worsen your condition.

Pirfenex 600 Tablet may not be suitable for all people. It is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age as the safety and efficacy data are not available. When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Pirfenex 600 Tablet if you are allergic to it. Serious allergic reactions to this medicine are rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Severe Liver/Kidney Impairment

Dosage

Missed Dose
Take the missed dose of Pirfenex 600 Tablet as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Never take more than the recommended dose of Pirfenex 600 Tablet. Seek emergency medical treatment in case of an overdose.
