Description

Nicostar OD 10 Tablet is used for the symptomatic treatment of angina (chest pain that occurs due to reduced blood flow to the heart). It is used when other medicines do not work or are not suitable for treating this condition. Nicostar OD 10 Tablet works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, thus reducing the workload on the heart.

Nicostar OD 10 Tablet shows side effects like headache, weakness, nausea, vomiting, flushing, dizziness, etc. Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel dizzy after taking this medicine. When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Nicostar OD 10 Tablet if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Hypovolaemia
Hypovolaemia is a decrease in the volume of blood in your body. Nicostar OD 10 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have hypovolaemia as it may increase the risk of low blood volume.
Pulmonary oedema
Pulmonary oedema is a condition in which there is an accumulation of excess fluid in the lungs. Nicostar OD 10 Tablet is not recommended for use if you have pulmonary oedema.
Cardiogenic shock

Dosage

Missed Dose
If you forget to take a dose of Nicostar OD 10 Tablet at a given time, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose of Nicostar OD 10 Tablet. Seek emergency medical attention in case of an overdose.

Avoid taking medications like Sildenafil or Tadalafil (prescribed for erectile dysfunction) while on treatment with this medicine as it may cause low blood pressure.
