INTRODUCTION

NETICOL 500MG 2ML contains citicoline which is naturally occurring compound and building block of the cell membranes. It improves cerebral function by increasing blood flow to the brain and enhances cerebral metabolism. This medicine is being commonly prescribed for impaired brain function due to ischaemic neurotoxicity.

It works by increasing the brain chemical and decreasing the damage of brain tissues. It is a potent brain-health nutrient and nootropic. It improves cellular communication by increasing the availability of neurotransmitters, including acetylcholine, norepinephrine, and dopamine. The commonly observed adverse effects were rash, insomnia, numbness of paralyzed extremities, nausea and feeling of warmth.

NETICOL 500MG 2ML increases choline stores available for other biosynthetic pathways. It appears to decrease glutamate levels in the brain and increase adenosine triphosphate, which in turn offers protection against ischemic neurotoxicity.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Nausea and vomiting:

Keep try taking this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack and stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy food.

Headache:

Apply hot or cold-water bag on your head. Take rest in a quiet and dark room. Drink tea or coffee.

Diarrhea:

Drink lot of fluid, such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration. Do not take any other medicine without consulting your doctor.

BREASTFEEDING

DRIVING AND USING MACHINES
Do not drive or operate any machinery while taking this medicine, it may make you feel dizziness, vision problems.

ALCOHOL
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking this medicine.

KIDNEY
NETICOL 500MG 2ML should be taken with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor for advice.

LIVER
NETICOL 500MG 2ML should be taken with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Consult your doctor for advice.

ALLERGY
Do not take if you are allergic to the medicine.

LUNGS
