Naprosyn 250plus Tablet 10’s belongs to a class of pain killers known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Naprosyn 250 Plus Tablet 10’s is primarily used to reduce pain and swelling in muscles and joints in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (pain and stiffness in the backbone), cervical spondylitis (wear and tear of spinal discs in neck) and acute gout (severe pain due to excess of uric acid).

Naprosyn 250 Tablet 10’s works by blocking the action of cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzyme in the body that is involved in production of certain chemical substances such as prostaglandins that cause pain and swelling. Thereby, helps in relieving pain and swelling associated with different types of arthritis. It is also used to treat fibrositis (muscle pain and stiffness), tenosynovitis (swelling of tendons), low back pain, strains and sprains. Arthritis is a condition which causes swelling of one or more joints resulting in pain and stiffness of joints that worsen over time.

Take Naprosyn 250 Tablet 10’s preferably with or after food and swallow whole with little water. Do not crush, chew or break it. Your doctor will advise you how often you take your tablets based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience indigestion, heartburn, stomach pain, nausea, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, bruising, itching, rash, ringing in your ears. Most of these side effects of Naprosyn 250 Tablet 10’s do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Naprosyn 250 Tablet 10’s or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Drug Warnings

Naprosyn 250plus Tablet 10’s may cause an increased risk of severe heart problems like myocardial infarction, and stroke, which can be fatal. It should not be used by the patient who has had undergone recent heart bypass surgery or going to have it. Naprosyn 250 Plus Tablet 10’s increases the risk of severe gastrointestinal conditions like bleeding, ulceration, and perforation of the stomach or intestines, which can be fatal. Elderly patients are at greater risk for gastrointestinal bleeding problems so the doctor can limit their dose. Naprosyn 250 Plus Tablet 10’s is not recommended for pregnant women especially in third trimester as it may cause harm to the baby. Therefore, pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised to consult a doctor before taking Naprosyn 250 Plus Tablet 10’s. Do not consume alcohol with Naprosyn 250 Plus Tablet 10’s as it may increase the risk of stomach bleeding or ulcer. If you experience weight loss, diarrhea, pain or vomiting, please stop taking Naprosyn 250 Plus Tablet 10’s and consult a doctor immediately as these might be signs of worsening or Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis (swelling in digestive tract).

Drug-Drug Interaction: Naprosyn 250plus Tablet 10’s may have interaction with pain killers (ibuprofen, diclofenac, paracetamol, aspirin), high blood pressure lowering medicines (propranolol, enalapril, cilazapril, losartan, candesartan, eprosartan), water pills (furosemide), blood thinners (heparin, warfarin, clopidogrel), fits related medicines (phenytoin), antidiabetic drugs (glimepiride, glipizide), antibiotics (moxifloxacin, ciprofloxacin), HIV/AIDS medicines (Zidovudine).

Drug- Food Interaction: Naprosyn 250 Plus Tablet 10’s may interact with alcohol. Therefore, avoid alcohol intake while taking Naprosyn 250 Plus Tablet 10’s as it may increase the risk of stomach bleeding.

Drug-Disease Interaction: People with diabetes, stomach ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, asthma, kidney, liver or heart problems and an autoimmune condition, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (joint pain, fever and skin rashes), colitis or Crohn’s disease (conditions causing swelling of the bowel, diarrhoea, bowel pain, vomiting and weight loss) should consult a doctor before taking Naprosyn 250 Plus Tablet 10’s.
