Moza Plus Capsule

Moza Plus Capsule is prescribed for the short-term treatment of erosive esophagitis associated with gastroesophageal diseases (GERD). It is also helpful in treating peptic ulcers, acid reflux and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

This proton-pump inhibitor reduces the amount of naturally occurring acid in the stomach. It helps by preventing oesophagus being damaged by the acids and treating peptic ulcers in the digestive system.

Moza Plus Capsule also helps in the treatment of stomach ulcers caused by the bacteria called Helicobacter pylori. It is important that you stick to the dosage prescribed by the doctor to avoid any serious side effects. When taking the tablet, make sure that you do not miss a dose.

Some of the side effects of this drug are joint pain, dizziness, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and headache. Other serious side effects include anxiety, irregular heartbeat, severe diarrhoea, seizures, muscle spasms, tremors and lupus or kidney damage. If you experience any of it, consult a doctor immediately.

Moza Plus Capsule should be swallowed whole; not chewed, crushed, or split. Do not administer via a nasogastric or feeding tube. Assess other medications the patient may be taking where absorption may be altered by a change in gastric pH (itraconazole, ketoconazole, iron salts, ampicillin esters).

Treatment of Moza Plus Capsule overdose would include appropriate supportive treatment. No adverse events were seen with ingestions of 400 and 600 mg doses. Moza Plus Capsule is not removed by hemodialysis.

Take with or without food. Do not split, chew or crush tablet; take at a similar time every day; inform prescriber if you are or intend to be pregnant; discontinue breast-feeding prior to starting this medicine.

Symptomatic response does not preclude gastric malignancy; not indicated for maintenance therapy; safety and efficacy for use beyond 16 weeks have not been established; safety and efficacy in pediatric patients have not been established.
