Motinorm DT 10mg Tablet
Motinorm 10 MG Tablet DT is an anti-emetic (drug effective against vomiting and nausea). It is used to relieve nausea, vomiting and indigestion and also increases intestinal movements and facilitates the emptying of the bowel. Motinorm 10 MG Tablet DT works by blocking certain substances in your brain that trigger nausea or vomiting.
Motinorm 10 MG Tablet DT shows some side effects like headache, dry mouth, stomach pain, etc. This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid doing any work that requires mental focus like driving vehicles or operating machines. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects do not resolve with time or worsen. Avoid using this medicine if you are allergic to it.
Motinorm 10 MG Tablet DT may also cause diarrhoea. Make sure to hydrate yourself if you experience diarrhoea to prevent dehydration. Hydrating well will also prevent dry mouth. You may take sugar-less candy in case you have a sensation of dry mouth.

What is it prescribed for?
Nausea and vomiting
Nausea is stomach discomfort and the sensation of vomiting. The condition has many causes and can often be treated. Motinorm 10 MG Tablet DT is used to treat or prevent nausea and vomiting which may be caused due to chemotherapy or digestive system disorder.
Gastric motility disorders
Motinorm 10 MG Tablet DT may also be used for the treatment of gastric motility disorders, conditions where the movement of food from your stomach is very slow resulting in delayed emptying.

When not to use?
Avoid taking Motinorm 10 MG Tablet DT if you are allergic to it. If you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of your face/tongue/throat), dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc., consult your doctor at the earliest.
Tumor of Pituitary gland
Motinorm 10 MG Tablet DT is not recommended for use if you have a prolactin-releasing tumour of the pituitary gland as this medicine is known to have a prolactin-releasing effect which can affect you, and may increase the risk of worsening your condition.
Motinorm 10 MG Tablet DT is not recommended for use if you have any heart disease like congestive heart failure (a condition where the heart cannot pump blood efficiently) as it can result in QT prolongation (changes in the pattern of heartbeat), hence affecting the working of your heart. This can increase the risk of worsening your condition.
Severe liver disease
Motinorm 10 MG Tablet DT can affect your liver when given for a long period or in high doses. This medicine is not recommended if your child has severe liver problems. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
Motinorm 10 MG Tablet DT is not recommended if you are having stomach or intestinal bleeding as it may worsen your condition.
Warnings for special population
