Indocap Capsule (Indomethacin 25mg)

Indocap 25mg Capsule 10’s belongs to the group of pain killers known as NSAID’s (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) used to relieve symptoms caused by osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and rheumatoid arthritis such as stiffness, swelling and joint pain. Indocap Capsule 10’s is also used to treat acute gouty arthritis, musculoskeletal pain, lower back pain, period pain, pain following joint and bone surgery.

Indocap 25mg Capsule 10’s works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger in your body, known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical ‘prostaglandins’ (PG). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site.

Take Indocap Capsule 10’s with or immediately after food or with milk or antacids. Take Indocap Capsule 10’s at the same time every day for best results. The tablet form of Indocap Capsule 10’s should be swallowed as a whole with a glass of water or milk; do not chew, break, or crush the tablet. The liquid form of Indocap 25mg Capsule 10’s should be taken by mouth using the measuring cup provided by the pack; shake the pack well before each use. The suppository form of Indocap Capsule 10’s should be inserted into the rectum.

You are advised to take Indocap Capsule 10’s for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, vomiting, and constipation. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

Indocap Capsule 10’s can increase your risk of fatal heart attack or stroke. So, if you have had any recent heart surgery, do not use Indocap Capsule 10’s. Indocap Capsule 10’s increases the chances of stomach ulcers and bleeding. To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Indocap Capsule 10’s for as long as your doctor has prescribed. To avoid recurring symptoms, do not stop it midway. Do not take Indocap Capsule 10’s if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed. Indocap Capsule 10’s causes drowsiness and dizziness, so drive with caution. Indocap Capsule 10’s should not be given to children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Indocap Capsule 10’s as it could lead to increased drowsiness and dizziness; it might also increase the risk of stomach bleeding. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medicines to rule out any side-effects.

Like all medicines, Indocap Capsule 10’s can also cause side-effects, although not everybody experiences them.
