INTRODUCTION
HISONE 20MG contains Hydrocortisone which belongs to the group of medicines called corticosteroids. It can be used as a replacement therapy for endogenous corticosteroids in children suffering from insufficient production of corticosteroids due to congenital adrenal hyperplasia, adrenal insufficiency or doubtful adrenocortical reserve. It can also be used for adding hydrocortisone after surgeries, trauma, injuries or other stressful conditions. It is also used to treat severe asthma and other allergic reactions or serious illness in both adults and in children.
Corticosteroids are the substance that naturally produced in your body and helps to maintain your health and well-being. Supplementing your body with extra corticosteroids can help to treat various illnesses and inflammatory conditions. Hydrocortisone binds to the corticosteroid receptors of adrenal glands and mediates various physiological functions. It also blocks the production of various inflammatory mediators responsible for causing inflammation and allergies.
