Medical Description

Faceclin gel helps in reducing acne, blackheads and whiteheads, also helps in preventing acne and reducing acne scars. It contains clindamycin and nicotinamide as active ingredients. Clindamycin is an antibiotic and nicotinamide (also known as Niacin) is a form of vitamin B3. Faceclin gel is meant only for external application and should be applied exactly as recommended by your doctor. Do not pop acne as it may lead to bacteria & pus spreading on the skin that can lead to the spread of acne and acne scar. Inform your doctor about all the medical conditions you suffer from and all medicines you take before starting this gel.

Faceclin gel is effectively used in the treatment of bacterial infection and inflammation of the skin such as acne, pimples, whiteheads and blackheads.

Contraindications of Faceclin Gel 15gm

If you are allergic to clindamycin, nicotinamide (vitamin B3) or any other components of Faceclin gel.
If you have experienced diarrhoea after using an antibiotic.
If you have a history of inflammatory bowel disease.

How Does It Work?
Clindamycin is an antibiotic agent which is widely used for treating various bacterial infection of the skin. It inhibits growth and multiplication of acne-causing bacteria.
Nicotinamide is acts as an anti-inflammatory agent and reduces the swelling and redness associated with acne. It also regulates the amount of acne-causing oil being produced by the oil glands in your skin and helps in lightening the marks due to pimple, acne and other skin problems.

Directions for Use of Faceclin Gel 15gm

Faceclin gel is meant for external use only, and you should use it as prescribed by your doctor
Apply it on the skin surface that is free from cuts, wounds and injury
Avoid touching the tip of the container directly to the infected area of the skin
Wash your hands before & after using this medicine
In case your eyes come in contact with this gel rinse your eyes with clean water immediately

Interactions with other medicines
Faceclin gel is applied externally on the skin, thus it is less likely to interact with other medicines taken orally. However, it may interact with other topically applied cream and gel. Discuss with your doctor if you are already on another topical gel or cream
There is limited information available on the interaction of Faceclin gel with other medicines. However, as this gel contains clindamycin & nicotinamide, any interaction seen with these two components when taken alone may occur with this combination
You need to be cautious if you are taking oral anticoagulants like Warfarin, Acenocoumarol and Fluindione as this medicine may interact with them. Regular monitoring of blood coagulation parameters is recommended

Store Faceclin gel in a cool and dry place, protected from direct sunlight, moisture and heat. Keep it away from children and pets.

Dosage of Faceclin Ge15gm

Overdose
Faceclin gel is meant for external application. The cases of overdose are unlikely. However, upon accidental ingestion reach out to your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital. If you have overapplied it, wipe out excess gel with the help of a clean tissue or cotton.
Missed a Dose
Missing an application of Faceclin gel may reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. If you have missed applying this gel, use it as soon as possible. Do not overuse this gel to compensate for the missed application.
