INTRODUCTION

ACUTRET 30MG contains Isotretinoin which belongs to a group of medicines known as retinoids which is used to treat skin problems. Isotretinoin used to treat severe nodular acne. It is only used in patients whose acne has not responded to other treatments. It works by shrinking the oil, sebaceous, glands in the skin. This reduces the amount of oil that is produced naturally by skin and also kills the bacteria that cause acne and relieves redness and soreness.

Severe nodular acne is the formation of red, swollen, tender lumps in the skin. If untreated it leads to permanent scars. This medicine should be used in children and adolescents from 12 years of age only after puberty. It must be used under the guidance of a dermatologist.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Take this medicine as directed by your physician. It can be taken with or without food. Your doctor will decide the correct dose for you depending upon your condition. Swallow this medicine as whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or suck the medicine.
