Ethamo 500 MG Tablet is a haemostatic drug. Haemostatic also known as Antihemorrhagic is a drug that helps in stopping excessive bleeding from capillaries or vessels. Other kinds of bleeding include Neonatal intraventricular haemorrhage, Melena, Hematuria, Epistaxis, Secondary bleeding caused by thrombocytopenia, and so on.

Ethamo 500 MG Tablet functions in the restoration of your capillary endothelial resistance. It improves platelet adhesion by improving it and inhibits the process of biosynthesis. Common side effects of Ethamo 500 MG Tablet include headache, feelings of nausea, hypotension and outbreaks on the skin in the form of rashes.

Before taking Ethamo 500 MG Tablet as a precaution make sure to inform your doctor of these if you are or have:

History of Porphyria.
Existing non-cancerous growths.
Planning to take it before the onset of your periods.
Allergic to sulfites or wheat.
Breastfeeding a baby.
Planning to take it with alcohol.
Tumors in your reproductive organs (in females) which are known as fibroids.
Dosage advised is orally, about 500mg into four times during menstruation to stop heavy and excessive bleeding in the case of menorrhagia. For Post-surgery in adults, it is recommended that you take about 250-500 mg every four to six hours to control the possibility of haemorrhage.

Apart from oral consumption, it can also be taken through an IV. If you miss a dose take it as soon as possible. But if it is already time for your next one, do not club doses. Skip it completely.

Missed Dose instructions
