Medical Description

Elina 10mg Tablet MR contains Mizolastine, an anti-allergic medicine. It works by blocking the action of the natural chemical, histamine in the body. It helps to relieve the seasonal allergic symptoms like a runny or blocked nose, watery eyes, itching and redness of the skin. It should not be used for children below 12 years of age and nursing mother. Elina 10mg Tablet MR can make you feel drowsy, tired, headache and increased appetite. If these symptoms get worse, contact your doctor or visit a nearby clinic or hospital. Inform your doctor if you have any other medical condition and are on any medicines.

Uses of Elina 10 MG

Elina 10mg Tablet MR is used to provide symptomatic relief from seasonal allergic conditions like a runny or blocked nose, watery eyes (e.g. in hay fever) and a skin condition with a pale or red irregular raised patches and severe itching (urticaria).

Contraindications of Elina 10 MG

If you are allergic to Mizolastine or any other component of Elina 10mg Tablet MR.
If you are on a macrolide class of antibiotics such as azithromycin, erythromycin and antifungal medicine such as itraconazole, ketoconazole.
If you have a known history of liver, heart disease.
If you are on any heart medicine such as lidocaine, procainamide, amiodarone.
If you have an irregular heartbeat or decreased heart rate.

Interactions of Elina 10 MG

Interactions with other medicines
Antacid medicine such as Cimetidine, immunosuppressive medicine such as Ciclosporin and medicines used in heart diseases such as Nifedipine should not be used concomitantly with Elina 10mg Tablet MR.
Discuss with your doctor about any other medicines, herbal preparations and supplements you are taking currently to avoid interactions.

Store at a temperature below 25°C in a cool and dry place.
Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

Dosage of Elina 10 MG

Overdose
Excess of Elina 10mg Tablet MR may cause irregular heartbeat. If you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital immediately.
Missed a Dose
If you missed any dose of Elina tablet, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
