Dolowin TC 8 TABLET is a combination of Aceclofenac and Thiocolchicoside. It is a painkiller medicine that provides relief from the pain associated with muscle spasms such as low back pain, neck pain, sprains/strains, etc. It works by relaxing your muscles and preventing muscle contraction. It also prevents the release of a chemical substance that causes pain and swelling in your body.

DOLOWIN TC TABLET can cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhoea, and sleepiness. These effects are mild and subside by themselves. Contact your doctor if they last for a long time or if they become severe.

DOLOWIN TC TABLET can be taken with food to avoid stomach irritation. Your doctor will determine the dose and duration of treatment depending on the severity of your health condition. For the ease of remembering and better results, take it at around the same time every day. Avoid taking it for a longer duration than prescribed by your doctor as it may lead to undesired effects.

DOLOWIN TC TABLET is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Use it cautiously if you have heart, liver, and/or kidney problems. DOLOWIN TC TABLET is not recommended in children below 16 years of age. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.

Uses of DOLOWIN TC TABLET

What is it prescribed for?
Muscle spasm with acute pain
DOLOWIN TC TABLET is used to treat pain and swelling due to contraction of the muscle. It is used in conditions such as muscle pain, low back pain, neck pain, sprain/strains, etc. It is also used to relieve pain due to bone and joint conditions like ankylosing spondylitis (pain and stiffness of bones of the spine), osteoarthritis (tender and painful joints due to wear down of protective cartilage between the ends of the bones), rheumatoid arthritis (swelling and pain in the small joints of your body), etc.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Dolowin TC 8 TABLET if you are allergic to it. Serious allergic reactions to this medicine are rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Gastrointestinal bleeding
Peptic ulcers are sores on the lining of your stomach and intestine. It may further lead to bleeding in the stomach and intestine. The symptoms are blood in stools/vomit, black coloured stool, and cramps in the stomach. DOLOWIN TC TABLET is not recommended for use if you have active or a history of peptic ulcers and bleeding as it may worsen your condition.
Severe Liver/Kidney Impairment
Dolowin TC 8 TABLET is not recommended for use if you have severe liver and/or kidney problems. This medicine may further damage your liver and/or kidneys and worsen your condition.
Asthma
Asthma is a condition in which your airways narrow and cause breathing difficulty. DOLOWIN TC TABLET is not recommended for use if you have a history of asthma after taking NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines like Paracetamol, Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Aceclofenac, etc.).

Dosage

Missed Dose
Try not to skip the scheduled dose of DOLOWIN TC TABLET. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose of Dolowin TC 8 TABLET. Seek emergency medical attention in case of overdose for further guidance.

General Instructions

Take DOLOWIN TC TABLET with food to avoid stomach irritation. Do not break, chew or crush the tablet.

Avoid taking more or less than the prescribed dose. Take this medicine for the recommended duration. Avoid the discontinuation of this medicine without consulting your doctor as your symptoms may come back.

Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medicine as it may make you feel dizzy or sleepy and also increase the risk of stomach bleeding.
