Dolokind 100mg

Dolokind 100mg Tablet is a painkiller. It provides relief from pain, stiffness, and swelling due to various conditions related to your bone and joints. It is also used to provide relief from headaches, toothaches, backaches, menstrual pain, sprains, and strains. Dolokind 100 MG Tablet works by preventing the release of a chemical substance that causes pain and swelling in your body.

Dolokind 100 MG Tablet can cause side effects like dizziness, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, indigestion, and diarrhoea. These side effects subside by themselves. However, consult your doctor if they remain for a long time or become severe.

Dolokind 100 MG Tablet can be taken with a meal to avoid stomach irritation. Your doctor will determine the dose and duration of treatment based on the severity of your condition. Avoid taking more than the prescribed dose. For the ease of remembering, take it at around the same time every day. Take this medicine for the complete duration of treatment. Avoid the discontinuation of Dolokind 100 MG Tablet without consulting your doctor as your symptoms may come back.

Dolokind 100mg Tablet is not recommended for use if you are allergic to it. Inform your doctor if you have high blood pressure or high cholesterol levels. Use this medicine with caution if you have heart, liver, and/or kidney problems.

Dolokind 100 MG Tablet is not recommended in children below 18 years of age as the safety and efficacy data is not established. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.

What is it prescribed for?
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a condition in which your body’s immune system attacks the small joints and damages them. It may cause swelling, pain, and stiffness of joints. Dolokind 100 MG Tablet is used to relieve pain and swelling due to RA.
Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a joint disorder characterized by tender and painful joints. It occurs when the protective cartilage that acts as a cushion between two ends of bones wears down. Dolokind 100 MG Tablet is used to relieve pain and stiffness due to this condition.
Ankylosing Spondylitis
Ankylosing spondylitis is a painful condition that occurs when bones of the vertebra (the small bones of the spine) fuse together leading to stiffness, pain, and alteration in body posture. Dolokind 100mg Tablet is used to relieve stiffness and pain (especially in the lower back, hip, and pelvis) associated with this condition.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Dolokind 100 MG Tablet if you are allergic to it. Serious allergic reactions to this medicine are rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Asthma
Asthma is a condition in which your airways narrow and cause breathing difficulty. Dolokind 100 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you have a history of asthma after taking NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines like paracetamol, ibuprofen, aspirin, etc.).
Gastrointestinal bleeding
Peptic Ulcers are sores on the lining of your stomach and intestine. It may further lead to bleeding in the stomach and intestine. The symptoms are blood in stools/vomit, black coloured stool, and cramps in the stomach. Dolokind 100 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you have active or a history of repetitive peptic ulcers and bleeding as it may worsen your condition.
Severe Liver/Kidney Impairment
Dolokind 100 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you have severe liver and/or kidney problems. This medicine may further damage your liver and/or kidneys and worsen your condition.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Try not to skip the dose of Dolokind 100 MG Tablet. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose of Dolokind 100 MG Tablet. Seek emergency medical attention in case of overdose for further guidance.

General Instructions

Take Dolokind 100 MG Tablet with food to avoid stomach irritation. Do not break, chew or crush the tablet. Never take more than the prescribed dose. Take this medicine for the recommended duration to get the maximum benefits.

If you are taking this medicine for long term, your doctor may suggest tests to monitor your liver enzymes and blood count.

Avoid consuming alcohol while taking this medicine as it may make you dizzy and/or sleepy.

Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines as they may interact with each other and cause side effects.
