INTRODUCTION

DECA DURABOLIN 100MG contains Nandrolone decanoate which belongs to the group of medicines known as anabolic steroids. It is indicated to treat osteoporosis (loss of bone tissue), certain types of anaemia, breast cancer (in women) and patients on long term corticosteroids. It helps to rebuild tissues that have become weak because of continuing illness or serious injury and used to increase lean body mass in the case of negative nitrogen balance. It can also be used to increase bone mass and stimulate the formation of red blood cells in the bone marrow.

Nandrolone is an anabolic steroid occurs in the human body, which increases production and urinary excretion of erythropoietin, also have a direct action on bone marrow. It binds to the androgen receptor to a greater degree than testosterone, but due to its inability to act on the muscle in ways unmediated by the receptor, has less overall effect on muscle growth. Nandrolone is an androgen receptor agonist which bounds to the receptor complexes that allows it to enter the nucleus and bind directly to specific nucleotide sequences of the chromosomal DNA.

Before receiving this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver, kidney or heart problems, are pregnant or breastfeeding. This medicine is not recommended for children below 3 years of age. The common side effects are pain at the injection site, nausea, rash and itching.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

DECA DURABOLIN 100MG should only be given by your doctor or a nurse. It will be administered deeply into a muscle (in the buttock, upper leg or upper arm).

INTERACTIONS

Inform your doctor if you are using or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription or the following,

Insulin (used to control blood sugar levels)
Erythropoietin (used to reduce anemia)
Anti-coagulants (used to treat blood clot)
Hormone ACTH or corticosteroids (used to treat conditions such as rheumatism, arthritis, allergic conditions and asthma)
