What is Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule?

Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule 10’s is a class of medicines called ‘antispasmodic’ (spasm and cramps reliever) agent primarily used to treat inflammatory bowel syndrome (IBS), stomach pain due to spasm, cramps, and bloating. Inflammatory bowel syndrome is an umbrella term describing complications that involve chronic inflammation of your digestive tract. Besides this, abdominal spasms are the acute condition in which the abdominal muscles (abs), intestine, and stomach contract severely.

Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule 10’s contains ‘Mebeverine’ that works by blocking calcium channels, and muscarinic receptors on the smooth muscle, which cause muscle contraction and pain sensation, thereby stop sudden muscle contractions (spasms) and reduce abdominal pain caused due by spasm, cramps, and gas formation, bloating, and discomfort.

Take Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule 10’s as prescribed by your doctor. Try to take the Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule 10’s 25-30 minutes before a meal at a fixed time for the best results. You are advised to take Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule 10’s for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical conditions. In some cases, you may experience skin rash. Most of the side effects of Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule 10’s do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor. Please inform your doctor immediately if you experience difficulty in breathing, swelling of the face, neck, lips, tongue, or throat.

Inform your doctor if you have porphyria (an enzyme deficiency in blood), heart, kidney, or liver problems, and severe constipation.  This medicine contains lactose and sucrose, so inform your doctor if you have an intolerance to any sugars. Let your doctor know if you use any prescription and non-prescription medications you are taking, including vitamins, before starting Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule 10’s.

Do not take Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule 10’s if you are allergic to ‘Mebeverine’ or any other contents present in it. If you have had a history of acute porphyria (an enzyme deficiency in blood), heart disease, kidney disease, liver problems, and severe constipation, consult your doctor before taking Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule 10’s.  Let your doctor know if you use any prescription and non-prescription medications you are taking, including vitamins, and herbal drugs before starting Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule 10’s. This medicine contains lactose, so inform your doctor if you have an intolerance to any sugars. Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule 10’s also contains propylene glycol, which may cause alcohol-like symptoms, and the methyl parahydroxybenzoate which may cause delayed allergic reactions, mainly affecting the skin, inform your doctor immediately if you experience any allergic symptoms. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to consult a doctor before using Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule 10’s. Cizaspa SR 200 Capsule 10’s is not recommended for children and adolescents below 18 years of age.
