INTRODUCTION

CARVIDON OD 60MG contain Trimetazidine which belongs to a group of medicine called pFOX (Partial fatty acid oxidation) inhibitors. This medicine is used in combination with other medicines to treat angina pectoris (chest pain caused by coronary disease) in adults. Heart receives reduced oxygen supply during an episode of angina and this medicine protects the heart cells during this condition.

Angina pectoris is a condition marked by severe pain in the chest, often also spreading to the shoulders, arms, and neck, owing to an inadequate blood supply to the heart. Angina is a symptom of coronary artery disease. CARVIDON OD 60MG works by shifting its metabolism from fats to glucose, thus decreasing the oxygen requirement of the heart. As a result, the heart works more efficiently. Along with this medication, quitting smoking, cutting down alcohol intake, eating well, taking regular exercise, and managing stress improves the health of your heart.

The common side effects are dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, rash, itching, hives, and feeling of weakness. This medicine strictly not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years. Before taking this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Always take CARVIDON OD 60MG exactly as your doctor has told you. This medicine must be taken with or without food. Try to take this medicine at the same time each day. It should be swallowed whole with water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Dizziness:

Get up and move around to feel awake, take small naps to edge off the sleepiness. Give your eyes a break to avoid fatigue and eat a healthy food to boost energy.

Headache:

Apply hot or cold-water bag on your head. Take rest in a quiet and dark room. Drink tea or coffee.

Abdominal pain:

Try to rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly and smaller and frequent meals. Applying a heat pad or covered hot water bottle on your stomach may also help. If still pain persists, speak to your doctor.

Diarrhoea:
