What is BIOVORIN 50MG?

BIOVORIN 50MG contains Leucovorin Calcium

What BIOVORIN 50MG is used for?

BIOVORIN 50MG is used to diminish the toxicity and counteract the effect of impaired elimination of folic acid antagonists
BIOVORIN 50MG is to treat the megaloblastic anemias due to folate deficiency, as in sprue, nutritional deficiency, megaloblastic anemias of pregnancy and infancy
It is also used in combination with 5-fluorouracil in the treatment of advanced colorectal carcinoma

Warning & Precautions

Talk to your Doctor if you:

Are allergic to any of the other ingredients of this medicine
Have megaloblasic anaemia due to Vitamin B12 deficiency
Have symptoms of gastrointestinal disorders

Interactions

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

Cytotoxic drugs (hydroxycarbamide cytarabine, mercaptopurine, thioguanine)
Phenobarbital, primidone, phenytoin and succinimides (used to treat epilepsy)

BIOVORIN 50MG will be given to you by your doctor or nurse into your vein or muscle
