Zixflam Tablet

Zixflam Tablet is a combination medicine used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, spondylopathy, tendonitis, and bursitis. It is also used for the treatment of edema and inflammation following surgery such as tooth extraction, cellulitis, abscess, sports injuries, sprains, etc.

Uses of Zixflam Tablet

What is it prescribed for?
Mild to moderate pain
This medicine is used to relieve mild to moderate pain and inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, spondylopathy, tendonitis, and bursitis. It also gives temporary relief from muscle aches, pains and muscle soreness.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to aceclofenac, trypsin, bromelain, rutoside or any other inactive ingredients present along with the formulation.
Asthma
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of NSAID-induced asthma due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Bleeding disorder
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with any bleeding disorder due to increased risk of swelling and bleeding in the stomach, colon, and anus.

General warnings
Gastro-intestinal toxicity
This medicine may cause damage to the stomach, intestines, liver, etc., especially on prolonged use. This risk is especially higher in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases. Report any symptoms such as chronic indigestion, blood in stool or vomit, etc. to the doctor immediately. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.
Heart surgery
This medicine should not be taken to relieve pain before, during, or after a coronary artery bypass graft surgery due to the increased risk of severe adverse reactions.
Kidney/Liver Disease
This medicine should be used with extreme caution in patients with kidney/liver impairment due to the increased risk of adverse effects. Regular monitoring of the kidney/liver function tests is necessary while receiving this medicine for such patients. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.
Driving or operating machinery
Use of this medicine may cause drowsiness or dizziness in some patients. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving a vehicle or operating machinery if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine.
Use in Children
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age since the safety and efficacy of use are not clinically established.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, then the missed dose can be skipped. Do not use extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
