Description

Valbet Skin Cream is a combination medicine which may be used for the treatment of steroid-responsive fungal and bacterial infections of the skin including eczema and psoriasis.

What is it prescribed for?
Steroid responsive skin infections
This medicine may be used to treat steroid-responsive fungal and bacterial infections of the skin, including those associated with eczema or psoriasis.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to beclomethasone, miconazole, neomycin, or any other inactive ingredients present along with the formulation.

General warnings
Allergic reactions
This medicine has the potential of causing moderate to severe allergic reactions in the body. Any instance indicative of allergic reactions should be reported to the doctor in the first instance.
Chronic use
High doses of this medicine should not be used for more than two weeks due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. If required, low doses can be used for long-term only under the supervision of your doctor.
External use
This medicine is recommended for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, mucous membranes, or open wounds.
Liver and/or kidney impairment
If this medicine is applied over a large surface area for a prolonged period of time, there is a chance of systemic absorption. Hence this medicine should be used with caution in patients with liver and/or kidney impairment. Appropriate dosage adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be necessary in some cases based on the clinical condition.
Other medicines
This medicine may interact with a large number of medications and may cause severe adverse effects. Hence, it is advised that you report the use of all your medicines including any herbs and supplements to the doctor before beginning therapy with this medicine.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not apply a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
An overdose of this medicine is not likely to cause severe symptoms. However, ingestion of this medicine may cause harm and immediate medical intervention may be required.

Interactions

General Instructions
Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area as instructed by the doctor. Follow all the usage instructions mentioned on the label or the package insert. Do not apply in larger or smaller quantities than recommended. Do not cover the application area with bandages or other coverings unless specifically instructed by the doctor. Contact your doctor if symptoms do not improve or resolve after two weeks of use.
