Description

Trilosar 12.5 Tablet is a combination medicine used for the treatment of high blood pressure. Frequent monitoring of blood pressure and electrolytes levels is while taking this medicine. Patients are advised to maintain a strict exercise and diet regimen along with this medicine to get the best possible effect. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age.

What is it prescribed for?
Hypertension
This medicine may be used in the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), which is an increase in the blood pressure caused by genetic and/or environmental factors.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to amlodipine, losartan, chlorthalidone, other sulfonamides, or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.
Aliskiren
Coadministration of aliskiren and this combination of medicine is not recommended due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects. This risk is especially higher in the elderly population and in patients with diabetes and kidney diseases.
Anuria
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with anuria (a condition where the kidney is unable to produce urine) due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Severe renal impairment
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe renal impairment (CrCl < 30 ml/min) due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects.
Severe liver impairment
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver impairment due to the increased risk of serious adverse effects.

Symptomatic hypotension may occur in patients with volume depletion or patients who are treated with high-dose diuretics. It is advised to correct this condition before initiating treatment with this combination medicine.
Hyperkalemia
This medicine may increase potassium levels in the blood (hyperkalemia). This may cause serious side effects such as fatal cardiac rhythm irregularities. It is advised to avoid potassium-rich foods (potatoes, bananas) and other medicines that may increase potassium levels (ACE inhibitors and potassium supplements) during treatment with this medicine. Appropriate corrective measures, dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.
Liver Disease
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with liver diseases due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects. Close monitoring of liver function tests, appropriate dose adjustments, or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required based on the clinical condition.
Kidney Disease
This medicine should be used with caution in patients with kidney diseases due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition. Driving or operating machinery
Use of this medicine may cause symptoms such as drowsiness, blurred vision, or dizziness in some patients. Volume and electrolyte disturbances
This medicine may alter the blood volume and electrolyte levels in some patients. This may cause dizziness, dry mouth, and acid-base imbalance. Dosage

Missed Dose
