Torplat 90 mg tablet is an antiplatelet or blood-thinning medicine. It is used in reducing or preventing heart-related conditions such as heart failure in patients with pre-existing heart conditions. It contains ticagrelor as its active ingredient. Torplat 90 mg tablet works by preventing the formation of new blood clots, thus aiding in smooth blood flow through the vessels. It should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. Uses of Torplat 90 MG

Torplat 90 mg tablet is used to prevent heart attack, reduce the risk of stroke in patients having a history of heart attack or chest pain and prevent blocking of the stent with a blood clot in patients who have stents inserted.

Contraindications of Torplat 90 MG

If you are allergic to ticagrelor or any other ingredients of Torplat 90 mg tablet.
If you are not being restricted to take aspirin.
If you have any active bleeding.
If you have a history of intracranial bleeding or bleeding from ulcers in the stomach or intestine.
If you are already taking certain medications such as ketoconazole, clarithromycin (antibiotics), antidepressants, anti-viral medicines, etc.

Other General Warnings

Dosage of Torplat 90 MG

Overdose
Excess of Torplat 90 mg tablet may cause excessive bleeding from different parts of the body. If you have taken too much of this medicine, then contact your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital immediately.
Missed a Dose
If you have missed any dose of Torplat 90 mg tablet, take it as soon as you remember it. However, if it’s time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
