Description
Soliten 5 Tablet is used for the treatment of an overactive bladder, a condition characterized by symptoms such as a frequent and sudden urge to urinate, inability to control urination and leaking of urine. This medicine improves the ability to control urination by relaxing the muscles in the urinary bladder thus relieving you of all the urinary complaints.
Soliten 5 Tablet shows side effects like dry mouth, constipation, nausea, vomiting and indigestion. Most of these side effects are not significant enough and resolve with time. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor at the earliest. Avoid driving or operating machines as this medicine is known to cause dizziness or blurry vision in some people.
Soliten 5 Tablet can be taken with or without food. Your doctor will decide the dose based on your clinical condition. Do not stop taking this medicine if you do not notice an improvement in your symptoms as it may take some time for your bladder to adapt and your symptoms to improve. When not to use?
Allergy
Avoid Soliten 5 Tablet if you have a known allergy to this medicine. Seek medical attention if you come across any symptoms such as skin rash, hives (painful itchy eruptions that sting), swelling (face, lips, tongue, etc.), breathing difficulty, etc.
Severe liver impairment
Soliten 5 Tablet is absorbed and broken down in the liver. Using this medicine when you have a pre-existing liver problem may lead to worsening of the liver condition and other undesirable effects. Hence, Soliten 5 Tablet is not recommended for use if you already have liver problems.
Urinary retention

Narrow angle glaucoma

Gastric retention
Gastric retention occurs due to the compression or narrowing of the duodenum (a part of the small intestine that connects to the stomach and carries food from the stomach to the intestine). Soliten 5 Tablet may increase the risk of narrowing of the duodenum and may worsen the condition. Hence, Soliten 5 Tablet is not recommended to use in conditions such as Gastroparesis (a condition that affects the movement of muscles in the stomach) that may lead to gastric retention.

Missed Dose
If you have forgotten to take Soliten 5 Tablet, take the missed dose of as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed one.
