Managing symptoms of depression before menstruation, social anxiety disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) are other uses of Sertima tablets. Depression and other mood disorders affect the behaviour, thought process and lower the quality of life. Sertima tablets help treat depression, mood disorders, anxiety, panic disorders, and other neurological illnesses. It calms excitable nerve cells in the brain and improves mood and memory. There are also many side effects of Sertima tablets, so the medicine must be carefully monitored. Do not change the dosage without consulting your doctor. Also, try not to stop using this medication abruptly. Instead, the dose should be tapered slowly; otherwise, it can lead to unwanted withdrawal symptoms, such as restlessness, palpitations, sleep disturbances, anxiety, etc. Try to take the Sertima tablet in the exact dosage and at the same time every day. Contraindications of Sertima 50mg
If you are allergic to Sertraline, do not use this medication. It can cause rash, itching, swelling of the face, eyes, lips, throat, difficulty breathing, and other allergic reactions. If you notice any mood changes, suicidal thoughts or behaviour. If you have any history of alcohol or drug addictions. If you are already using different antidepressants like monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO inhibitors), it can cause life-threatening adverse reactions. If you have a mild liver condition, it should be taken with caution. It is not recommended if you have severe liver disease. If you are on treatment for alcohol addiction (using Disulfiram).
