Selzic 150 Tablet (Oxcarbazepine 150mg)

Selzic 150mg Tablet contains Oxcarbazepine. It is used in the treatment of certain types of seizures (a condition that occurs due to disturbed nerve cell activity in your brain resulting in abnormal behaviour and loss of consciousness). Selzic 150 MG Tablet works by reducing the abnormal electrical activity in the brain, thus preventing seizures (fits).

Selzic 150mgTablet may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, low blood sodium levels, acne, fatigue, blurred vision, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or become severe.

Selzic 150mg Tablet may be taken with or without food as directed by your doctor. The dose and duration of treatment will be decided by your doctor based on the severity of your condition. Take this medicine for the recommended duration for better results. Avoid abrupt discontinuation of this medicine without consulting your doctor as it may cause an increased frequency of seizures. Report to your doctor immediately if you experience symptoms like fever, rashes, blisters, etc.

Impaired kidney function

Selzic 150 MG Tablet should be used with caution if you have kidney problems as it may worsen your condition. Your doctor may suggest tests to monitor your kidney function and recommend appropriate dose adjustments based on your clinical condition.

Blood cell count

Rarely, Selzic 150 MG Tablet may cause agranulocytosis (decreased production of a certain type of white blood cell, usually neutrophils) and leukopenia (a low white blood cell count). Your doctor may recommend blood tests to monitor your blood cell count while you are taking this medicine.

Low sodium levels
