Description

Sammy 400 mg Tablet is a natural substance present in the cells of the body. It plays an important role in cell growth and repair. It also helps in the maintenance of hormones that affect mood and behaviour.

Sammy 400 mg Tablet is used in combination with other medicines for the treatment of depression (a mental health problem characterized by feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities), osteoarthritis (a type of arthritis that causes pain on movement due to wearing of the protective covering at the ends of the bones), and cholestasis (a liver problem that occurs when the flow of bile from the liver is reduced or blocked).

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid Sammy 400 mg Tablet if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of your face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs)
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) are a class of medicines used to treat depression. Sammy 400 mg Tablet is not recommended if you are on treatment with MAOIs or have taken them in the last 14 days due to the increased risk of severe side effects.

Warnings

Warnings for special population
Pregnancy
Due to a lack of safety and efficacy studies in pregnant women, the risk to your developing foetus due to Sammy 400 mg Tablet is not known. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy unless necessary. If you are pregnant, consult your doctor.
Breast-feeding
It is not known whether Sammy 400 mg Tablet passes into breastmilk. Hence this medicine is not recommended during breastfeeding unless necessary. If you are breastfeeding, consult your doctor.
General warnings
Bipolar disorder
Sammy 400 mg Tablet is not recommended if you have a history of bipolar disorder (a mental health condition characterized by extreme mood swings) due to the increased risk of worsening your condition.
Driving or Operating machines
Sammy 400 mg Tablet may cause dizziness. If you experience any symptoms that may affect your mental alertness, do not drive vehicles or operate machines.
Other medicines
