About Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S
Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S is a cephalosporin-type antibiotic primarily taken to treat various types of bacterial infections of the ears, lungs, and urinary tract. Additionally, it is also prescribed to treat STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases). Infectious or harmful bacteria can make you sick and reproduce quickly in your body. These harmful bacteria produce chemicals known as toxins, which can damage tissue and make you sick.
Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S kills the bacterial cell by blocking the chemical (mucopeptides) released by the outer layer (cell wall) of the bacteria. In turn, Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S weakens and destroys the bacterial cell wall. It is a broad range of antibiotic that helps in fighting various types of bacteria. Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections
Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S should be taken as prescribed by your doctor, preferably with a meal to avoid stomach upset and at fixed intervals every day for best results. The dose of Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S can vary depending upon your condition and severity of the infection. Drug Warnings
Do not take Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S if you are allergic to Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S or other macrolide antibiotics. Hypersensitivity reactions including shock and fatalities have been reported with Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S. Discontinue use if there is a reaction and reach out to your doctor immediately. Tell your doctor if you have liver problems (jaundice), muscle problem (myasthenia gravis), heart rhythm disorder (arrhythmia), electrolyte imbalance (low potassium or magnesium level). In rare case, use of Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S can cause diarrhoea, so in case if you have watery or bloody diarrhoea, stop taking Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S and call your doctor. Drug Interactions
Drug-Drug Interaction: Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S may reduce the activity of the vaccines including cholera vaccine, live, typhoid vaccine, live and Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (is used in a solution to stimulate the immune system in the treatment of bladder cancer and as a vaccine to prevent tuberculosis). To ensure adequate vaccine response, you should not receive any above-mentioned vaccine, until at least 14 days after you complete your antibiotic therapy. Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S can occasionally cause kidney problems, and using it with furosemide may increase that risk.
Drug-Food Interaction: Avoid taking eating high-fat meal as this makes it harder for your body to absorb Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S. Eating grapefruit during antibiotics treatment can prevent the body from utilizing Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S properly. So, prevent intake of grapefruit or grapefruit juice with the antibiotic. Avoid taking too much of calcium enriched foods and drinks as it might affect the working of Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S.
Drug-Disease Interaction: People affected with diabetes mellitus, renal dysfunction, liver disease, seizure disorders, colitis (bowel disease that affects the large intestine, causing irritation, inflammation, and ulcers in the colon) should not take Safexim Cv 200Mg Tab 10’S.
