Essential hypertension, also known as primary/idiopathic hypertension is a condition of high blood pressure with no underlying cause. Nusar-ATN Tablet is used in the treatment of essential hypertension.
When not to use?
Allergy
Avoid Nusar-ATN Tablet if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of your face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Heart diseases
Nusar-ATN Tablet is not recommended if you have a history of severe heart problems such as sinus bradycardia (slow heart rate), sick sinus syndrome (a condition that may result in irregular heartbeats), decompensated heart failure, and cardiogenic shock (conditions where your heart is unable to supply enough blood to your body), blocked blood vessels, as this medicine may worsen your condition.
Aliskiren
Coadministration of Aliskiren (a drug used to treat high blood pressure) and Nusar-ATN Tablet may increase your risk of serious side effects such as kidney problems, hypotension (low blood pressure), and hyperkalaemia (high blood potassium levels). This risk is especially higher if you have a history of diabetes (a condition with high blood sugar levels) or pre-existing kidney problems. Hence concurrent use is not recommended if you have diabetes and/or severe kidney problems.
Severe Hepatic impairment
Hepatic impairment is a condition with a loss of liver function. Nusar-ATN Tablet is not recommended if you have severe hepatic impairment due to the increased risk of severe side effects.

Metabolic Acidosis
Metabolic acidosis is a condition with high levels of acids in your blood. Symptoms may include thirst, frequent urination, vomiting, abdominal pain, weakness, muscle cramps, etc. Nusar-ATN Tablet is not recommended if you have metabolic acidosis due to the increased risk of worsening your condition.
