Description

Nextop 100 MG Tablet is a medicine used in the treatment of seizures (sudden, uncontrolled electrical disturbances in the brain causing abnormal behaviour and loss of consciousness). It is also used to prevent migraine headaches. Nextop 100 MG Tablet works by reducing the abnormal electrical activity in the brain.

Nextop 100 MG Tablet may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, fatigue, weight loss, blurred vision, etc. Consult your doctor if these symptoms persist or become severe. Avoid driving vehicles and operating machines as this medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness.

Seizures
Seizures are abnormal electrical activity in the brain, causing uncontrolled jerking of the body and loss of consciousness. Nextop 100 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of certain types of seizures like primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures (seizures that may cause abnormal electrical activity throughout the brain) and partial-onset seizures (seizures that affect only one part of the brain) in adults and children above six years of age. When used in combination with other medicines, it may be used to treat seizures in children above two years of age.
Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome
Nextop 100 MG Tablet is used in combination with other medications in the treatment of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a severe condition characterised by reoccurring seizures episodes.
Migraine Headache
A migraine attack is a headache that causes severe throbbing pain usually on one side of the head. Nextop 100 MG Tablet may be used to prevent migraine headaches in adults. However, it is not effective in relieving migraine headaches that have already begun.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Take the missed dose of Nextop 100 MG Tablet as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose. Seek emergency medical treatment in case of an overdose of Nextop 100 MG Tablet.

General Instructions
