Description

Moza 5 mg Tablet is used to increase the movement of food from the stomach to the intestine. It speeds up the process of gastric emptying and prevents the reflux of food into the food pipe.

Uses of Moza 5 mg Tablet

What is it prescribed for?
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease
This medicine is used to treat severe heartburn, acidity, indigestion, and stomach pain associated with the reflux of bile or stomach acids into the food pipe.
Gastroparesis
This medicine is used for the treatment of a condition where the movement of food from the stomach is very slow resulting in delayed emptying.
Adjunct prior to barium enema x-ray examination
This medicine is used along with oral gastrointestinal lavage solution as an adjunct prior to barium enema x-ray examination.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to mosapride or any other ingredient present along with the formulation.
Gastrointestinal hemorrhage
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having internal bleeding of the stomach and intestine. This may be attributed to various reasons including a ruptured bowel (Gastrointestinal Perforation).
Mechanical bowel obstruction
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients having a blockage or obstruction in the intestines due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.

Mechanical obstruction of intestine
Report any incidence indicating intestinal blockage like severe bloating, nausea, vomiting, severe abdominal cramps, constipation, etc to the doctor. The use of this medicine is not recommended in such cases.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, then it is advisable to skip the missed dose. Do not use extra medicine to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

General Instructions

Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller quantities than recommended. Contact your doctor if the symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks of administration. Report any unusual symptoms to the doctor immediately.
