Description
Mox 125 mg Kidtab is an antibiotic. It is used to treat different types of bacterial infections of the throat, lungs, ears, nose, urinary tract, and skin. Mox 125 mg Kidtab is also used with other medications to stop the growth of Helicobacter pylori bacteria that cause stomach ulcer(s). It is not effective against infections caused by viruses or fungus.
Mox 125 mg Kidtab shows some side effects like diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, weakness, nausea, and vomiting. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects get aggravated. Avoid taking this medicine if you have a known allergy to it and discontinue if any allergic reactions (skin rash, swelling of face, lips, etc.) are experienced. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to penicillin.
Mox 125 mg Kidtab is available on prescription as capsules, tablets, injection, syrup and suspension. Mox 125 mg Kidtab can be taken with or without food and at the same time every day to ensure its better efficacy. Antibiotic treatment must be completed as directed by your doctor. Do not stop taking on your own even if you feel better.
Mox 125 mg Kidtab should be used with caution in individuals with kidney, liver and heart problems. Mox 125 mg Kidtab can make birth control pills less effective. You may be asked to take birth control methods to prevent unintended pregnancy.
Mox 125 mg Kidtab may interact with other medicines. Inform your doctor about all other medicines that you may be taking apart from Mox 125 mg Kidtab. Also, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.

Acute otitis media
Acute Otitis media (AOM), is an infection of the middle ear (the area behind the eardrum), common in infants and young children. Mox 125 mg Kidtab is used to treat otitis media caused by bacteria.
Sinusitis
Sinusitis is the swelling of membranes that line your nose and surrounding sinuses (hollow cavities in your skull). It is often caused by bacteria and sometimes, viruses and fungi. You may experience a stuffed nose and pain or pressure behind your eyes, nose, cheeks, or forehead. Mox 125 mg Kidtab is used to treat bacterial sinusitis.
Pharyngitis/Tonsilitis
Pharyngitis and tonsillitis are infections that cause swelling and soreness in the throat and tonsils. Mox 125 mg Kidtab is used to treat pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and/or pharyngotonsillitis (a condition where both, the pharynx and tonsils, are infected).
Lung infections
Mox 125 mg Kidtab is used to treat the following lung infections:
1. Pneumonia:- is an infection of the air sacs in the lungs (either single or both lungs). It can be bacterial and viral. Mox 125 mg Kidtab is used to treat pneumonia caused by bacteria.
2. Bronchitis:- is the swelling and irritation of bronchial tubes that regulates air passage in the lungs. Mox 125 mg Kidtab is used to treat bronchitis caused by bacteria.
Skin and soft tissue infections
Skin and soft tissue infections occur when the bacteria invade the skin and its supporting structures. Mox 125 mg Kidtab is used to treat most of the skin infections caused by bacteria.

Mox 125 mg Kidtab is used to treat bacterial tooth infections and to stop it from spreading further. Amoxicillin for tooth pain relief is usually the first choice.
Bacterial endocarditis
Bacterial endocarditis is an infection in the inner lining of the heart caused by bacteria. It occurs when bacteria from another part of your body travel through the blood and attach to damaged areas of your heart. Mox 125 mg Kidtab is used to treat bacterial endocarditis.
Pyelonephritis
Pyelonephritis is the swelling of the kidneys due to bacterial infection. This infection starts in your urinary bladder and spreads through the ureters (tubes that connect your kidney to the urinary bladder) to the kidneys. Mox 125 mg Kidtab is used to treat Pyelonephritis. You will start feeling better within a few days after taking Mox 125 mg Kidtab.
