Description

Mero-SB Injection is a combination medicine used for the treatment of lower respiratory tract infections like pneumonia, bronchitis, etc caused by gram-negative bacteria such as Klebsiella, Acinetobacter, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, etc. in adult patients only. This medicine should be used with caution in patients with kidney diseases and central nervous system disorders due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to meropenem, sulbactam, any carbapenem or beta-lactam antibiotics, or any other inactive ingredients present along with these medicines.

Discontinue the use of this medicine as per the doctor’s instructions if severe diarrhea occurs after receiving this medicine. This medicine may cause an imbalance in the microbial flora of the large intestine, decreasing the gut-friendly bacteria and promoting the growth of a bacteria called Clostridium difficile, resulting in severe diarrhea.
Pediatric use
The safety and efficacy of this medicine are not clinically established in children less than 18 years of age.
