Meftal-Spas DS Tablet is a combination medicine used to relieve muscle cramps and pain associated with menstruation in women. It may also be used to relieve mild to moderate pain associated with spasm of the intestine, gall duct, urinary tract, etc in adult patients.

Uses of Meftal-Spas DS Tablet

What is it prescribed for?
Spasmodic dysmenorrhea
This medicine may be used to relieve cramps and pain associated with menstrual disorders.
Mild to Moderate Pain associated with Muscle Spasm
This medicine may also be used to relieve acute muscle pain and cramps associated with the blockage of the small intestine, gall duct, or the urinary tract.

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to Dicyclomine, Mefenamic acid, or any other inactive ingredients present along with these medicines.
Gastrointestinal disease
This medicine is not recommended for use in gastrointestinal conditions such as severe ulcerative colitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, and reflux esophagitis due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects.
Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (CABG)
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have undergone coronary artery bypass surgery recently due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient’s condition.
Other allergic conditions
This medicine is not recommended for use if you have an allergic condition like asthma, urticaria, or any other allergic condition due to the increased risk of severe adverse effects.

Use of this medicine for a long duration may cause fluid retention and heart failure. It should be administered with caution in patients suffering from a disease of the heart or blood vessels or patients exposed to the risk factors.
Asthma
Use of this medicine can cause an acute attack of asthma to occur especially in patients with a history of aspirin sensitivity. It should be used with extreme caution in such cases.
Peptic ulcer
This medicine should be used with caution in patients suffering from peptic ulcer or other diseases of the gastrointestinal tract due to the increased risk of adverse effects. Report any unusual symptoms to the doctor on priority. Appropriate dose adjustments or replacement with a suitable alternative may be required in some cases based on the clinical condition.

Driving or Operating machinery

Dosage

Missed Dose
