Medical Description

Lorinol Tablet contains Loratadine, an anti-allergic medicine. It works by blocking the action of the natural chemical histamine in the body. It helps to relieve allergic symptoms like a runny or blocked nose, watery eyes, itching and redness of the skin. It should not be used for children below 2-years of age. This medicine can make you feel drowsy, tired, headache and increased appetite. Inform your doctor if you have any other medical condition and are on any medicines.

Uses of Lorinol 10 MG

Lorinol Tablet is used to treat allergic conditions like a runny or blocked nose, watery eyes (e.g. in hay fever) and a skin condition with a pale or red irregular raised patches and severe itching (urticaria).

Contraindications of Lorinol 10 MG

If you are allergic to Loratadine or any other component of Lorinol Tablet.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if
You or your child has liver or kidney disease.
You are about to have skin tests. Stop taking this.

Interactions of Lorinol 10 MG

Interactions with other medicines
Concomitant use of ketoconazole, erythromycin and cimetidine with Lorinol Tablet can increase the effect of loratadine.
Discuss with your doctor about any other medicine, herbal preparation and supplements you are taking currently to avoid possible drug interactions.

Dosage of Lorinol 10 MG

Overdose
Excess of Lorinol Tablet can cause sleepiness, drowsiness, increased heart rate and headache. If you have taken too much of this medicine, then contact your doctor or reach out to the nearest hospital immediately.
Missed a Dose
If you missed any dose of Lorinol Tablet, then take it as soon as you remember. If it’s time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.
