Isolazine Tablet (Isosorbide Dinitrate 20mg / Hydralazine 37.5mg)

Isolazine Tablet 15’s belongs to a group of heart-related medicines called ‘vasodilators used to treat heart failure. Heart failure occurs when the hearts muscle does not pump blood normally, including shortness of breath, swollen legs, fatigue and increased heartbeat. In this condition, the heart becomes too weak and cannot pump enough blood and oxygen to the organs and tissues of our body.

Isolazine Tablet 15’s is a fixed-dose combination composed of two medicines, namely, Isosorbide dinitrate and Hydralazine. Isosorbide dinitrate belongs to a group of drugs known as nitrates that relax the heart’s muscles and widens the heart’s veins and arteries for easy flow of blood to every part of our body. It is used to treat angina (chest pain) and other heart-related diseases due to a shortage of oxygen and blood. Hydralazine belongs to a group of drugs known as vasodilators which help lowers raised blood pressure by relaxing and widening the heart’s muscles.

Isolazine Tablet 15’s is available in the form of oral tablets. Take Isolazine Tablet 15’s as your doctor has prescribed it. Doses of the Isolazine Tablet 15’s will decide by your doctor but generally start with low doses and increase the dose. In some cases, Isolazine Tablet 15’s can cause side effects like headache, nausea, dizziness, and lightheadedness (feeling of faint). Most of these side effects of Isolazine Tablet 15’s do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Isolazine Tablet 15’s or any other medicines, please inform your doctor. Before taking Isolazine Tablet 15’s, let your doctor know if you have a heart attack within the last 30 days, low blood pressure, stroke (low blood supply in the brain that causes the damage to the brain), high pressure within the brain. Please do not stop taking Isolazine Tablet 15’s on your own, which may lead to the recurrence of symptoms or worsen the condition.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. It is usually taking three times a day or as prescribed by your doctor. Doses of the Isolazine Tablet 15’s will decide by your doctor but generally start with low doses and increase the dose. Do not chew or crush it.

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight
