Inhalex Respules (Ambroxol 15mg)

Description

Inhalex 15 mg Respules is a mucolytic agent that reduces the thickness of the sputum. It is used to treat conditions with the abnormal mucus secretion, allowing the patient to breathe freely and deeply.

Uses of Inhalex 15 mg Respules

What is it prescribed for?
Emphysema
This medicine is used to ease the condition of shortness of breath, persistent cough, and inflammation of the airways of the lungs by making the sputum thin and less viscous and easy to cough out.
Tracheobronchitis
This medicine is used in the symptomatic treatment of tracheobronchitis which is an infection causing inflammation of the trachea (windpipe) and airways of the lungs. It relieves the patient from an excessive cough and thick sputum in this condition.
Acute and chronic bronchopulmonary infections
This medicine is used for the management of airway mucus hypersecretion in acute and chronic bronchopulmonary infections.
Spasmodic bronchostenosis
This medicine is used for the management of spasmodic bronchostenosis (narrowing of bronchi).

When not to use?

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to ambroxol or any other inactive ingredient present along with the formulation.
Epilepsy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with epilepsy because it may worsen the condition.
Stevens-Johnson syndrome
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of Stevens-Johnson syndrome which is a rare but serious disorder of the skin.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Use the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double your dose to make up for the missed dose.

Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.
