Glucored Tablet is used in the treatment of diabetes mellitus. Insulin, a hormone produced by the body metabolizes sugar in the blood. When the body does not produce insulin in the required amounts, the blood sugar level in the body increases. This results in diabetes.

A diabetic patient has to maintain his blood sugar levels by following a healthy lifestyle like avoiding sugar in food. Glucored Tablet activates the pancreas to secrete more insulin. This medication is taken alongside a healthy diet. More insulin helps to reduce the level of sugar in the blood.

Consult with your doctor if you have the following conditions – you are pregnant or breast feeding; allergic reactions to a medicine; problems in the kidney or liver. Let your doctor if you are taking other medications before starting a course of Glucored Tablet.

Follow the prescribed dosage carefully which is around 5 mg on a daily basis. It is recommended to skip a dose if you have missed one, do not take multiple doses at once. You may experience certain side effects like nausea, constipation, low blood sugar, weight gain and diarrhea after taking this medication. Dosage

Missed Dose instructions

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember with food. However, if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose then the missed dose can be skipped.
Overdose instructions

Contact a doctor immediately if an overdose is suspected. Symptoms of overdose may include confusion, sweating, weakness, vomiting, fainting, seizures etc.
