Funzi Tablet

Funzi 250 MG Tablet is an antifungal medicine. It is used to treat fungal infections like athlete’s foot (itchy, scaly, and white patches between the toes), jock itch (red, itchy, and ring-shaped rashes in the groin, the area where the upper thigh meets the lowest part of the stomach), ringworm (red, itchy, and circular-shaped rashes with clear skin in the middle affecting the skin, scalp, or nails), and nail infections. This medicine works by killing the fungi by damaging its cell membrane (protective covering) and making it weaker. Thus, it prevents the spread of fungal infections.

Funzi 250 MG Tablet shows side effects like nausea, vomiting, skin rash, headache, loss of appetite, etc. These side effects are usually mild and subside with time. If any of these side effects do not resolve with time or worsen, consult your doctor. Avoid taking this medicine if you are allergic to it.

Funzi 250 MG Tablet can be taken with or without food. Your doctor will determine the dose and duration of treatment based on the severity of your condition. Complete the course of treatment even if you feel better after a few doses. If you stop taking this medicine early, the infection may reappear or worsen, which may be difficult to treat.

An athlete’s foot or Tinea pedis is a fungal skin infection that causes itchy and scaly white patches between your toes. Funzi 250 MG Tablet is used to treat Athlete’s foot.
Jock itch
Jock itch or Tinea cruris is a fungal infection that occurs in the moist and warm areas of your body like the groin, inner thighs, or buttocks. It is characterised by a red, ring-shaped, and itchy rash. Funzi 250 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of Jock itch.
Ringworm infection
Ringworm or Tinea corporis is a skin infection caused by fungi. It causes an itchy and circular rash that may affect any part of your body. Funzi 250 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of ringworm.
Onychomycosis (fungal infection of the nails)
Onychomycosis refers to a fungal infection of the nails characterized by nail discolouration, ragged or crumbly nails, etc. Funzi 250 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of onychomycosis.

When not to use?

Allergy
Avoid taking Funzi 250 MG Tablet if you are allergic to it. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice symptoms such as skin rash, itching/swelling (especially of your face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, breathing difficulty, etc.
Liver Disease
Funzi 250 MG Tablet is not recommended for use if you have liver problems. This medicine may cause further liver damage and worsen your condition.

Your doctor may further recommend an alternative medicine based on your clinical condition.
Driving or operating machines
Avoid driving vehicles or operating machines if you feel dizzy during treatment with Funzi 250 MG Tablet.
Use in Children
Funzi 250 MG Tablet is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age due to limited safety and efficacy data.

Dosage

Missed Dose
Try not to skip the dose of Funzi 250 MG Tablet. In case you miss a dose, take it immediately. However, if the delay is more than 12 hours, skip the dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.
Overdose
Never take more than the prescribed dose. Seek emergency medical attention in case of an overdose with Funzi 250 MG Tablet.
