Overview

Extend Capsule is used for Skeletal development, Diabetes, Treatment of anemias of nutritional origin, Pregnancy, Infancy, Or childhood, Heart disease, Weight loss, Type 2 diabetes, Treatment of megaloblastic anemias due to a deficiency of folic acid, Reproductive function, Keshan disease, Lipid metabolism and other conditions. Extend Capsule may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Extend Capsule contains Chromium, Copper, Docosahexaenoic Acid, Eicosapentaenoic Acid, Folic Acid, Manganese, Selenium and Vitamin A2 as active ingredients.
Extend Capsule works by enhancing the action of insulin; contributing to the formation of blood cells and transferrin; decreasing the synthesis of inflammatory markers; protecting normal mitochondrial function and reducing excitotoxicity; acting on megaloblastic bone marrow to produce a normoblastic marrow; facilitating the synthesis of proteins and DNA in the cartilage; neutralizing the free radicals and also participates in vital redox reactions of the body; binding to and activating retinoid receptors;

Precautions

Before using Extend Capsule, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Administration of folic acid alone is improper therapy for pernicious anemia and other megaloblastic anemias in which vitamin B12 is deficient
Aluminum toxicity
Aspirin-sensitivity
Avoid alcohol consumption, especially if having alcoholic cirrhosis
Breastfeeding
Consult a doctor if you have chronic kidney disease, underactive thyroid or skin cancer
Diabetes
Do not overdose
Do not use for long term
Folic acid in doses above 0.1 mg daily may obscure the diagnosis of pernicious anemia

If you use other drugs or over the counter products at the same time, the effects of Extend Capsule may change. This may increase your risk for side-effects or cause your drug not to work properly. When not to use Extend Capsule

Hypersensitivity to Extend Capsule is a contraindication. In addition, Extend Capsule should not be used if you have the following conditions:
Allergic reactions
Allergic to selenium
Aspirin-sensitivity
Hypersensitivity
Hypertension
Inflamed or damaged skin
Intolerance to the drug
Intramuscular injection of Chromium
Intravenous injection of Chromium
