INTRODUCTION
ERYTHEGO contains Brimonidine used for the topical skin treatment of facial redness of rosacea in adult patients. It constricts the blood vessels in the skin thereby reducing the redness of rosacea. Rosacea is a skin condition characterised by redness and visible blood vessels in your face. It may also produce small, red bumps filled with pus.
Brimonidine works by constricting the blood vessels in the skin thereby reducing the redness of rosacea. This medicine is not recommended in children adolescents between 2 and 18 years of age. Do not use ERYTHEGO on irritated skin or open wounds as this may result in low blood pressure or dizziness. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes such as the mouth and inside of the nose. In case of accidental contact, rinse with water. The common side effects are redness, itching and flushing of skin.

Cold water helps to bring the redness down. Apply aloe vera and cucumber to ease the redness.

PREGNANCY
ERYTHEGO should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
BREASTFEEDING
ERYTHEGO should be used with caution in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
ALCOHOL
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with ERYTHEGO.
ALLERGY
Do not use if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Brimonidine or any ingredients of this medicine.
HEART DISEASE
ERYTHEGO should be used with caution in patients suffering from active heart diseases. Consult your doctor before using this medicine.
OTHERS
Tell your doctor if you had or have a condition such as:
- Depression
- Low blood pressure
- Circulatory problems
- Decreased blood flow of the brain
- Skin reactions
INTERACTIONS
Tell your doctor if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription or the following:
- Monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors
- Anaesthetics, sedatives, opiates, barbiturates
- Chlorpromazine, methylphenidate or reserpine
- Clonidine
- Medicines to treat heart condition or for lowering blood pressure
- Prazosin and isoprenaline
